DEQI Intellectual Property Law Corporation has its origin from the Patent Service Center of the Ministry of Information Industry (PSCMII), a state-owned company, which was established in 1984 as one of the earliest agencies providing intellectual property services in China. In April 2001, the PSCMII became private and changed its name to DEQI Patent Law Corporation. One year after, DEQI was authorized by the Chinese State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) to handle foreign related IP matters.

DEQI is dedicated to providing all kinds of IP related services including patent prosecution, trademark registration, copyright recordation, customs actions, negotiations and litigations over IP disputes, and other related services in consultation, licensing, transfer, search etc.

DEQI is geographically seated close to the State Intellectual Property Office and an area called "Zhongguancun", where a lot of science and research institutes and high tech companies locate. Hence it is convenient for us to work closely with our domestic clients and to bridge them with SIPO.

Nowadays, our professionals team is composed of both veterans and young talents, including not only key professionals of PSCMII, former examiners of SIPO and retired technical experts, but also lots of elites in the IP profession as well as PHD holders and Post-graduates from famous Chinese/oversea universities, thus making it possible for DEQI to properly handle various sophisticated IP related cases.

At present DEQI is hiring 170 full-time employees, including 68 patent attorneys, 7 trademark attorneys and 9 lawyers. After years of efforts, DEQI is keeping growing step by step and gained great renown and trusts from our clients for the quality services. Up to now, DEQI has established working relationships with hundreds of companies and law firms throughout the world and is becoming one of the leading IP firms in China.
